Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 70th Birthday of singer-songwriter and keyboardist, Seth Justman, best known for his work with The J. Geils Band. Happy Birthday Seth ! Their seventh studio album , Monkey Island, was released June 9, 1977, and for the first time, produced by the band. The LP peaked at #97 in Australia and #51 in America and spawned one single, appropriately titled, "You're The Only One" (#83 Hot 100). This would their last album with Atlantic. Although listed as part of The J. Geils Band's discography, both the album cover and label just read GEILS. In fact the only spot on the album that reads J. Geils Band is the producer and arrangement credits. I don't believe I had ever heard any song off this album, but the Mrs. knew them all ...
