Today we joyfully celebrate the 74th Birthday of British guitarist, vocalist, record producer, and Brother to Sir Ray Davies, Dave Davies. Happy Birthday Dave ! The Kinks released their 20th studio album, State of Confusion, on June 10th 1983, on Arista Records. It was produced by Ray Davies and peaked at #96 in Australia, #55 in Germany, and #12 in America. The title track (#26 Mainstream Rock), "Don't Forget To Dance" (#58 UK, #29 Hot 100, #16 Mainstream Rock), and "Come Dancing" (#16 Adult Contemporary, #12 UK, #11 Cash Box, #6 Hot 100) were released as singles.
