Good Sunday morning, morning people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the Birthday of yours truly with this great compilation by the Mothers Of Invention. Mothermania The Best Of The Mothers, was released in 1969 on the Bizarre and Verve labels and was produced by Frank Zappa himself. This was the first Mothers compilation,  and even though Zappa had released 5 albums at this point in his career, this retrospective takes it's tracks from the first three, Freak Out!, Absolutely Free and We're Only in It for the Money. The versions of these songs here,  are different mixes from their counterparts on the aforementioned LPs and includes the uncensored version of "Mother People". The liner notes on our copy are in German, I'm not sure this is the case for all copies ....
