Good Thursday morning faithful readers and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember multi-instrumentalist, country/gospel vocalist, and actor Steve Sanders, best known for his work with The Oak Ridge Boys, on this, the 23rd anniversary of his passing. Steve died of a self inflicted gunshot wound. He was 45. He was with the group from 1987 to his death. He replaced longtime member, baritone William Lee Golden, who left the group in '87. After Sanders' death Golden returned. All of our Oak Ridge Boys are pre 1987, so Steve isn't on any of them, so we remember him in absentia. Our record of choice today is the country gospel album, Try A Little Kindness. It was released on Sunbird Records in 1981.
