Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we find ourselves celebrating the 72nd Birthday of bassist/vocalist George Bunnell, best known for his work in psychedelic pop band, Strawberry Alarm Clock. Happy Birthday George ! Strawberry Alarm Clock released their 3rd LP, The World In A Sea Shell, in November of 1968 on the Uni label. It was produced by Frank Slay and Bill Holmes. From what I gather, the album did not chart, but it gave birth to two singles, "Sea Shell" (which also didn't chart) and "Barefoot in Baltimore" (#67 Hot 100). The latter became a theme song for the city of Baltimore, Maryland. Our copy was sealed before today and opened for this listening/viewing. We purchased it within the last couple of years, right here in Lakeland, at Jesse Carl Vinyl. I did one of those Awkward Opening videos, if you like to watch those. I'll post it near the pictures.
