Today we remember Amsterdam born guitarist and songwriter, Eddie Van Halen, on this , the 1 year anniversary of his passing. He died of a stroke at the age of 65. Words cannot describe how much he is missed. We honor his legacy by giving Van Halen's second record, Van Halen II, a spin. The LP was released March 23, 1979 on the Warner Brothers label and produced by Ted Templeman. The 5X Platinum selling disc reached #23 in the UK, #22 in Sweden, #11 in the Netherlands, and #6 on the Billboard 200. Three singles were released : "Dance The Night Away" (#15 Hot 100) , "Beautiful Girls" (#84 Hot 100) , "Somebody Get Me A Doctor" (Japan release only).
