Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Oradell, New Jersey native, arranger, composer, bandleader and orchestrator, and Army Veteran, Nelson Riddle, on this the 38th anniversary of his death. He was born June 1, 1921 to parents Marie Albertine Riddle and Nelson Smock Riddle and passed away in 1985, age 64, from cardiac and kidney failure as a result of cirrhosis. During his 4 decade career he became known working with the likes of Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Judy Garland, Dean Martin, Peggy Lee, Johnny Mathis, Rosemary Clooney, Linda Ronstadt,  and Keely Smith. He also excelled in scoring and arranging music for films and television shows. Today we have him on this compilation, This Is Sinatra !.  The LP was released on the Capitol label in 1956 and sees Old Blue Eyes himself belting out some of his best known hits at the time. It reached #1 in the UK.
