Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..
Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember page favorite singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, composer, and bandleader Frank Zappa, on this, the 27th anniversary of his death. He passed away at age 52, from prostate cancer, 17 days before his 53rd birthday. He is severely missed. Chunga's Revenge, his third solo album and overall 11th release, was released October 23, 1970 on Frank's Bizarre/Reprise label and produced ... you guessed it, by Frank. It reached #119 on the Billboard 200 and #34 in Australia. "Tell Me You Love Me" was issued as a single. We have two copies of the record as well as two copies of a popular concert poster that uses the same photo. The poster advertises a California State college concert in Fullerton, on Nov 8, 1972. Alice Cooper is Frank's special guest and advance tickets are $2.50, $3 at the door. When anyone asks, 'Where would you time travel to? the info on the poster is my answer.
