Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's Singles, a Birthday Edition. First up on our calendar is California born rock vocalist, Jack Russell, known for his work in Great White and Jack Russell's Great White. Happy 60th Birthday Jack ! Perhaps their best known song, "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" was originally released in 1975 as the lead track on Ian Hunter's (Mott The Hoople) debut album. Great White covered it on their 4th record, ...Twice Shy. The single was released in 1989 on the Capitol label. It peaked at #83 in the UK, #6 on the Mainstream Rock charts, and #5 on the Hot 100. It's B-side is "Slow Ride". We saw Jack Russell's Great White back in 2018, along with Enuff Z'nuff and Bulletboys. It's a show we won't soon forget.
