Good morning gang and welcome back to Saturday's Singles, a Birthday edition. First up on our musical calendar is 56 year old American bassist Prescott Niles, known for his work with New Wave band, The Knack. Happy 66th Birthday Prescott ! To start the day off, we offer up the 1979 Capitol Records release, "Good Girls Don't". The song, from their Platinum selling debut album, Get The Knack, peaked at #66 in the UK, #11 on both the Cash Box and Hot 100, and #1 in Canada. It was written by vocalist /guitarist Doug Fieger and features "Frustrated" (inspired by Fieger's crush on a girl named Sharona Alperin, also the namesake of the group's biggest hit, "My Sharona") as it's B-side.

Our second Birthday single comes in the form of "Ready Or Not", by the one true voice of Foreigner, former vocalist and founding member, Lou Gramm. Happy 70th Birthday Lou ! The tune, the title track from his debut solo effort, reached #54 on the Hot 100 and #7 on the Album Rock Tracks chart. It was released in 1987 by Atlantic Records, and features "Lover Come Back", from the same record, as it's flip side.
