Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember English guitarist Derek Leckenby, best known for his work in Herman's Hermits, on this, the 29th anniversary of his death. Non-Hodgkins lymphoma claimed his life in 1991, age 51. Our send off today focuses on their third record Hold On, (MGM Jun2 1966) which also serves as the soundtrack to the film of the same name, starring the band and Shelley Fabares. It was produced by Mickie Most and the disc saw the birth of two singles; "A Must To Avoid"(#8 Hot 100, #6 UK, #1 New Zealand), and "Leaning On The Lamp Post"(#9 US, Australia, #2 New Zealand).
