Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Chicago born harmonica player, vocalist, guitarist and band leader, Paul Butterfield, of The Butterfield Blues Band, on this, the 35th anniversary of his passing. He was born December 17, 1942 and died May 4, 1987, age 44, from an accidental overdose. With him in mind, we spotlight The Butterfield Blues Band's first live album, conveniently titled Live. The two disc album was recorded at The Troubadour in West Hollywood and released in 1970 on the Elektra label. It peaked at #72 on the Billboard 200 and was produced by Todd Rundgren.
