Good morning Sunday people and welcome to the Independence Day 2021 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Our Freedom oriented selection is the Original Soundtrack Recording to the 1972 Peter H. Hunt directed musical, 1776. Both the movie and soundtrack were released in 1972 on Columbia and starred William Daniels, Howard Da Silva, Donald Madden, John Cullum, Ken Howard and Blythe Danner. It was based on the 1969 musical of the same name written by Peter Stone and the score was composed by Sherman Edwards. The story shows the Founding Fathers as they maneuver their way through declaring their Independence from the British crown (in song).
