Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Friday edition of Atuck In The Vinyl Again. The National Event Calendar tells me that yesterday (07/13/23) was National Barbershop Music Appreciation Day. Keeping in line with that, we find ourselves spinning this, the 1958 International Barbershop Chorus Winners. The LP was released by Decca Records, I'm assuming after 1958, as I cannot find a release date for it. On it we find 5 competitors in the form of the Dixie Cotton Boll, the Pekin Chorus, the Buckeye Capital Chorus, Men Of Accord, and Big "D" vying for first place. Spoiler Alert ! : The winners are the Dixie Cotton Boll, directed by Bill "Buz" Busby.
