Good morning Sunday people and welcopme to the Valentine's Day edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today is the day when millions around the world profess their love with candy, flowers, cards and romantic escapades meant to capyre the hearts of their significant others. Of course for every 'happily ever after' there must also be 'the one that got away' or the one that broke hearts. Which leads us to today's selection. 24 Great Heartbreakers And Tearjerkers, a double compilation album, was released in 1980, on the Excelsior label and features songs of lost and unrequited love from such acts as The Shirelles, the Platters, Gary Lewis & The Playboys, Percy Sledge, B.J. Thomas, and many more. We've had this LP for as long as I can remember and for some reason I had it stashed with a bunch of country compilations.
