Today we remember Illinois born statesman and lawyer who served as the 16th president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln, on what would have been his 212th Birthday. He died in office in 1865, age 56, from an assassins' bullet. With him in mind we spotlight this 1957 double album from Caedmon Records, A Lincoln Album, featuring spoken word excerpts by Carl Sandburg.
