Today we remember Texas native, singer songwriter, bandleader and television host Buck Owens (Alvis Edgar Owens Jr.) on what would have been his 83rd Birthday. He was born in in 1929 and passed away March 25, 2006, age 76, from a heart attack. We honor his legacy with this 1968 Capitol Records compilation, the Best of Buck Owens, Vol. 2 by Buck Owens And His Buckaroos. The LP was produced by Ken Nelson and peaked at #5 on the Top Country Albums chart.
