Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we are ecstatic to wish Duluth, Minnesota native, singer songwriter, artist, and author, Bob Dylan (Robert Allen Zimmerman), a very Happy 82nd Birthday. Happy Birthday Bob ! With him in mind, we spotlight this bootleg LP (not on label) from 1970. It is called G.W.W. ~ "John Birch Society Blues" and features early recordings (pre Columbia) of Dylan alone with an acoustic guitar, harmonica, and his voice. It is considered the first rock bootleg, Half of the record comes from the "basement tapes" recorded at Dylan's upstate New York home, while the other half were recorded December 22nd, 1961, in a Minneapolis hotel room. We got our copy last year from a weird indoor yard sale / flea market thing in north Lakeland in a box of about 15 records, we paid $5 for.
