Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today marks one year since the death of North Carolina born singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and actor, Charlie Daniels. He died from at stroke, at age 83. He is severely missed. We honor his legacy by spinning his self titled debut album. Charlie Daniels was released in 1971 on the Capitol label and produced by Jerry Corbitt and Dave Nives. If you are thinking the name Jerry Corbitt sounds familiar, you are right. Jerry is best known as a founding member and guitarist for the rock band, the Youngbloods, who are probably best known for their song, "Get Together". Anyway, Jerry's song, "Life Goes On" is included on the album. As far as I can tell there were no singles released and the album itself did not chart. I don't know why though, it's one of the best Southern rock albums, I've ever heard ...
