Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Section, Alabama born country and gospel guitarist and vocalist, Charlie Louvin (Charles Elzer Loudermilk), best known as one half of the duo the Louvin Brothers (along with his brother Ira Louvin, (Ira Lonnie Loudermilk)). Charlie would have celebrated his 95th Birthday today, but his life was cut short by surgery complications from pancreatic cancer. He died on January 26, 2011, age 83. To honor his legacy, we spotlight his fifth solo album, I Forgot To Cry. The LP was released in 1967 on Capitol Records and was produced by Kelso Herston and Marvin Hughes. It reached #25 on the Top Country Albums chart and gave birth to three singles ; "Off and On"(#38 Hot Country Singles) , "On the Other Hand" (#44 Hot Country Singles) , and the title track, "I Forgot To Cry" (#46 Hot Country Singles) .
