Our focus today is that of the infamous car crash involving Motley Crue's Vince Neil, that killed Finnish glam band ,Hanoi Rocks drummer,  "Razzle" Dingley. Razzle had been invited by Neil to party at his place in  Redondo Beach, California. Both men, quite drunk, left in Neil's De Tomaso Pantera, with Neil driving, to make a beer run. On the way back, they crashed and Razzle was killed upon impact. He was 24 years old. Hanoi rock's second album, Oriental Beat, was released January 1982 on the Johanna Kustannus label and produced by Pete Wooliscroft. Our copy, on Passport Records,  was purchased on Ebay in a Hanoi Rocks lot, and has a sticker on the front cover that indicates it is an Import. It peaked at #90 in Japan and #3 in Finland. Although never a household name themselves, several artists list the rockers as influences including, Gun 'N Roses, Poison, L. A. Guns, Ratt, Skid Row, Foo Fighters, and Alice In Chains.
