Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today our record of choice is the sophomore release from UK rock band, Dizzy Heights. High & Alive was released in 1982 on the SRTW label . The band was formed in July 1979 by David "The Dudge" James (keyboards, vocals), Nick Salt (lead guitar, vocals), Nicky Millward (drums, 1979-82), and Lesley Skillings (bass, vocals). Lesley was later replaced by Steve Tolley in 1982 and then he (Tolley) was replaced by Brian Kelsall in 1983. Adrian Basketfield took over on drums from Nicky Millward in 1983 and Phil Barton replaced Nick Salt. David "The Dudge" James was the only constant in the band until it disbanded in 1983 after the release of their third album. Our copy is signed by Nick Salt, Nicky Millward, and Steve Tolley. The music comes off as a cross between Atlanta Rhythm Section, Peter Cetera, and a version of KISS that doesn't quite rock as hard as the original. All in all it is an enjoyable listen.
