Good Monday morning gang (if you believe in such things) and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we are thrilled to celebrate the 76th Birthday of California native and keyboardist Gary 'Mutha' Withem, best known for his work in the pop rock band, Gary Puckett & The Union Gap. Happy Birthday Gary ! To mark the momentous occasion, we spotlight the 4th and final studio album from the Union Gap. The New Gary Puckett and the Union Gap Album was released December 1969 on Columbia Records and was produced by Dick Glasser. It peaked at #50 on the Billboard 200 and saw the release of two singles ; "Don't Give In to Him" (#15 Hot 100, #13 Adult Contemporary) and "This Girl Is a Woman Now" (#9 Hot 100, #2 Adult Contemporary). We were fortunate enough to see Gary Puckett in 2015 at the Strawberry Festival in Plant City, Florida, as part of The Turtles Happy Together Tour. It was a great show all around and Gary even sang Happy Birthday to his Wife. I'll include a video of that, down around the pictures.
