Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember singer songwriter, actor, and producer, Kenny Rogers, on what would have been his 84th Birthday. He passed away March 20, 2020, age 81, while in hospice care. He is truly missed. With him in mind, we spotlight his second compilation album, Greatest Hits. The LP was released September 23, 1980 on Liberty Records and produced by Larry Butler, Kenny Rogers, and Lionel Ritchie, Jr. It reached #42 in Sweden, #40 in the UK, #10 in Norway, #3 in Canada, #2 on the Canadian Country charts, #1 in New Zealand, the Billboard 200, and the Top Country Albums chart. It has been certified 12X Platinum in the US.
