Good morning vinyl junkies and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Ranking Roger, vocalist and member of the bands The Beat and General Public, on what would have been his 57th Birthday. He passed away in March of 2019, from lung cancer. His partner in General Public, Dave Wakeling, celebrated his 64th Birthday Wednesday, and as a nod to both of them, we spotlight General Public's debut album, All The Rage. All The Rage is a new wave album released January 28, 1984 on I.R.S. Records. It was produced by Colin Fairley, Gavin MacKillop, and General Public. It peaked at #26 on the Billboard and gave birth to one single, "Tenderness" (#11 Canada, #27 US) which was featured in the John Hughes comedy, "Ferris Bueller's Day Off".
