Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Los Angeles born country/ rockabilly vocalist and guitarist, Johnny Horton, on what would have been his 98th Birthday. He was born in 1925 to parents, Ella Claudia Robinson and John Loly Horton and passed away November 5, 1960 in an automobile accident when a drunk driver hit the vehicle he was traveling on while crossing a bridge. He was 35. To honor his legacy, we find ourselves spinning this 1968 Hilltop Records compilation, All For The Love Of A Girl. When I went to find this album in our collection, I pulled out Johnny Horton's Greatest Hits and inside I found Johnny Cash's Ring Of Fire. Behind it I found this album in a clear plastic sleeve. I took this album and put it in the Greatest Hits sleeve and put the Cash back in the plastic sleeve. I'll post a picture of the Greatest Hits and a stock photo of the original cover for today's selection.
