Over the course of his seven decade career, the Jacksonville Florida native has sold over 45 million records, had 38 Top 40 hits, and dipped his musical toes in the waters of pop, country, gospel, jazz, and even a heavy metal cover album, but it is his 58th studio release that we find turning on our table today. Texas Woman was released in 1976 on the Hitsville label and produced by Ray Ruff. Four singles were released ; "Texas Woman" (#4 Hot Country Songs), "Oklahoma Sunshine" (#86 Hot Country Songs) , "Lovelight Comes a Shining", and " Indiana Girl (#72 Hot Country Songs, #36 Adult Contemporary).
