Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . This month marks 41 years since the released of the self titled debut of Portland, Oregon's Quarterflash. The rock group, founded by Husband and Wife duo, Marv and Orinda Sue "Rindy" Ross, have released 7 albums of their saxophone infused rock, with their last one in 2020, but as I mentioned before their first is our focus today. Quarterflash was released in October 1981 on the Geffen label and produced by John Boylan. It peaked at #22 in Australia and #8 on the Billboard 200. It's houses Quarterflash's best known song and first single, "Harden My Heart" (#49 UK, #41 Adult Contemporary, #10 Canada, #6 Australia, #3 Hot 100, #1 Mainstream rock) as well as two other singles, "Find Another Fool" (#21 Canada, #16 Hot 100, #12 Mainstream Rock), and "Right Kind of Love" (#56 Hot 100). Timothy B. Schmit (Poco, Eagles) and Mike Porcaro (Toto) guest on the album. When I was young I mistakenly thought "Harden My Heart" was a Fleetwood Mac song.
