Hello Friday readers and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we gleefully celebrate the 75th Birthday of Sir Rod Stewart by featuring this great 2 record compilation album, The Best of Rod Stewart. It was released on the Mercury label i April  1976 and produced by Stewart and Ron Wood.  It peaked at #18 in the UK, #9 in New Zealand, and #90 in America. It's a thoroughly enjoyable album containing almost every cut you'd expect, up to that point and then some. I particularly enjoyed his cover of The Who's "Pinball Wizard".

(In other, yet non- related Rod news, it's been alleged he punched a children's party staffer at a Florida resort, on New Year's, after being denied entry to a private entrance. Rod's son Sean, who I vaguely remember being brought out on stage at an awards show performance while Rod was performing"Forever Young", was involved in the altercation as well.  Anyone else remember that ?)
