Good Tuesday morning, morning people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Detroit born singer-songwriter, producer, actor, and politician, Sonny Bono, on what would have been his 86th Birthday. The pop and folk star turned mayor and congressman, passed away in 1998, age 62, as a result of a skiing accident in Nevada. Sonny & Cher's fifth and final album, Mama Was a Rock and Roll Singer, Papa Used to Write All Her Songs, was released June 4, 1973 on the MCA label and produced by Sonny Bono, Denis Pregnolato, and Michel Rubini. The 10 tune LP peaked at #132 on the Billboard 200 and features all cover songs except the title, which was written by Bono.
