Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we gleefully celebrate the 77th Birthday of Milwaukee born multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and bandleader, Steve Miller. Happy Birthday Steve ! To commemorate the date, we spotlight the first live album by the Steve Miller Band, conveniently titled, Steve Miller Band Live ! The live LP was recorded at the Pine Knob Amphitheater, Clarkston, MI on September 25, 1982 and then released April of the following year on Capitol Records. It was self produced. It peaked at #125 on the Billboard Hot 100, #89 in Canada, and #40 in the Netherlands. No singles were released. We had the great fortune in seeing Steve Miller live in 2015, along with Journey and Tower Of Power. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to ...
