Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Mary Christine Brockert, Santa Monica born singer-songwriter, musician, composer, arranger, and producer, better known by her stage name, Teena Marie, on what would have been her 67th Birthday. She was born in 1956 and passed away December 26, 2010, after suffering a a grand mal seizure, at 54 years old. With her in mind, we spotlight her fifth studio album, Robbery. The LP was released September 18, 1983 on the Epic label and produced by Teena Marie. It peaked at #119 on the Billboard 200 and #13 on the R&B album chart. Three singles were released ; "Fix It" (#41 Dance Club Songs, #21 R&B), "Midnight Magnet" (#36n R&B), and "Dear Lover" (#77 R&B). Joining Teena on the album are an impressive who's who list of session musicians.
