Good morning record junkies and welcome to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 68th Birthday of Virginia born drummer Stewart Copeland, known for his work in The Police, and the supergroup Oysterhead (with Les Claypool of Primus and Trey Anastasio of Phish, highly recommended). Happy Birthday Stewart ! With him in mind we spotlight the  fifth and final studio album by the Police, Synchronicity.  Synchronicity was released June 17, 1983 on the A&M label and produced by The Police and Hugh Padgham. The LP reached #1 in Australia, Canada, Italy, New Zealand, the UK, and America. Four singles were released from the 8X Platinum disc ; "Every Breath You Take" (#26 Club Play Singles, #5 Adult Contemporary, #1 Mainstream Rock and Hot 100) , "King of Pain" (#33 Adult Contemporary, #3 Hot 100, #1 Mainstream Rock) , "Synchronicity II" (#17 UK, #16 Hot 100, #9 Mainstream Rock), and "Wrapped Around Your Finger" (#13 Adult Contemporary, #9 Mainstream Rock, #8 Hot 100, #7 UK).
